Archives for the month of: May, 2012

According to Bob: left to right, Bob, Louise Fairchild, Mary Lou, Reba, Aunt Jack, Sally and Ralph Fairchild.

Bob noticed the hats that Grandma and Jack are wearing; Service Station Attendants at Standard Oil Stations wore similar hats, along with white shirts and pants and a black bow tie.

Ralph and Grandpa worked together at Standard Oil.

Mark and I in Willamina.  The oldest we could is 2 1/2 and 5 years old here.  This picture has always been a family classic, but I don’t recall what the occasion was.

A barbecue at Helen and Clark’s in Astoria.  I see my folks, Helen and Clark, Don and Reba, Marie… and I’ll let someone else guess at the rest and fill us in!

No order, just noticing that that corner of the house must have had good sun angles!

Molly was born 24 years ago, today, in Baltimore.  Here she is at 4 months, in Annapolis, on an outing with her parents and grandparents.

I’m not sure if I feel older because I’m 55, or because I’ve been a father for 24 years!

Mom, in 1946.  I’m not sure what the occasion was, can anyone help me out?

Ed and Marie’s house on 5th Street in Astoria, in 1930, before it was painted.  That’s a For Sale sign in the window.

Same house in 1991

Dad’s note on this photo: “Raised a dozen hens in 1942”.
