This is from Val’s visit in 1967. She’s with Clark and Helen in front of the Yukon Street house.
Not sure where this second photo is taken.
Jane says it looks like Rocky Butte.
see my response below to Dick’s guess, it’s Vancouver BC
Astor column perhaps?
I just checked Grandpa’s index, and it’s actually Vancouver BC. That was my guess the other day when I posted this, but the water in the distance seemed narrower than my memory of that area. You can just make out the roof of the Fairmont Hotel on the left. Going by Google Maps, my guess it this is taken at Queen Elizabeth Park, for a 360 degree view, check this out: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Queen+Elizabeth+Park/@49.241757,-123.1126193,3a,75y,346.23h,92.79t/data=!3m8!1e1!3m6!1sAF1QipPWzW1r9UXXNJZIbW5I9iz-dPthhlffQ7EV21Em!2e10!3e11!6shttps:%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipPWzW1r9UXXNJZIbW5I9iz-dPthhlffQ7EV21Em%3Dw203-h100-k-no-pi-2.0257235-ya301.23795-ro0-fo100!7i5656!8i2828!4m7!3m6!1s0x548673f54e6bc621:0xb4b7ef4d0fe7a488!8m2!3d49.2417564!4d-123.1126186!14m1!1BCgIgARICCAI
I can’t figure the location of that second picture either. First guess was Washington Park, but those hills in the background rule that out. We were living up in Marysville at that time. Assume that this was one of Dad’s pictures.

I’ve added an explanation in my response to Dick’s guess, and a link to a 360 degree view
